As we hurried to reach school,
crossing the river;
passing blue pool,
I remember you next to me.
Growing up,
a bit of swing;
and a bit of humph,
how to be the 'perfect she',
looking at mirror,
I remember you next to me.
Side by side;
in a crammed bus,
a man and his lust;
holding anger and disgust,
I remember you next to me.
Dealing confusions,
amidst illusions;
fighting fears,
surviving tears;
I remember you next to me.
Restless silence,
endless talks;
amidst celebrations,
through the failures;
in my waiting,
I remember you next to me.
