Protest

Amidst banners, street actions;
die-ins and vigils;
you saw issues,
and made me another poster.
When thousands flocked,
hand in hand;
crisis marking every head,
I became faceless.
Drowning in endless,
cries and shouts;
slogans and promises,
every noise an opportunity;
you urged me to speak.
I looked at you;
you who were;
fighting from within,
cheering from margins;
guarding the fences,
and I also looked at you,
who were looking at me.
The choice is tough;
who leads whom,
and to what;
so silently protesting,
I enjoy my 'being' now!
